The Southwest Florida Healthcare Coalition will present Activation 101 with breakout sessions for the 9 separate counties for Q&A between members and EOC and ESF-8 staff.
Activation 101 is designed to inform members about the key aspects of contacting ESF-8 (Emergency Support Function #8) and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during a disaster.
Who to Contact:
Emergency Support Function #8 (ESF-8): ESF-8 coordinates public health and medical services during a disaster. This includes healthcare providers, public health agencies, and medical suppliers.
Emergency Operations Center (EOC): The EOC is a centralized command and control facility responsible for carrying out emergency management and ensuring continuity of operations during a disaster.
