 has been growing concern that many of the most likely terrorist threats wi
 ll involve “agents of opportunity” or materials that are readily avail
 able in most communities around the country.\n\nThe American College of Me
 dical Toxicology (ACMT) and the Radiation Emergency Assistance Center/Trai
 ning Site (REAC/TS) in partnership with the Region 1 Regional Disaster Hea
 lth Response System (RDHRS) and in collaboration with the Region 4 Souther
 n Regional Disaster Response System (SRDRS) are pleased to offer this cour
 se on emergency medical response to exposures from radioactive materials a
 nd toxic chemicals. The Emergency Management Unit\, within the Agency for 
 Toxic Substances &amp\; Disease Registry (ATSDR) and the National Center f
 or Environmental Health (NCEH) at the Centers for Disease Control &amp\; P
 revention (CDC)\, supported the delivery of this unique course to familiar
 ize healthcare providers and responders with toxic exposures. The course w
 ill review the medical and psychological consequences of exposure to a var
 iety of chemical and radiological materials. It will include practical inf
 ormation regarding scene safety for such agents as high-potency fentanyl a
 nalogs\, inhaled irritants\, and proper decontamination of a victim contam
