The Hazardous Materials Incident Commander training course prepares the hazmat technician responder to fulfill the roles and responsibilities required of the Hazmat Incident Commander Group leader in the ICS system. In addition, this course will assist in preparing an overall hazmat response program and protocols. This site-specific hazmat incident command course will assist hazmat responders by enhancing capabilities by engaging in a process of self-discovery, self-reflection discussions, and scenario-based activities to demonstrate the appropriate job performance requirements and competencies in NPFA 470.
