Overview:Crisis Standards of Care and Treatment Decision-Making defines and explores the potential causes resulting in crisis standards of care, discusses potential situations resulting in prioritization of care, and explores legal, moral, and ethical considerations and mechanisms for making care decisions based on limited resources or capabilities. (1.5 hours)

Target Audience: Healthcare

Prerequisites and Requirements: To be eligible to attend this course, a student must possess basic skills in routine triage and treatment procedures. Exceptions to any of the prerequisites may be granted on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Center for Domestic Preparedness Registrar.
