QPR stands for question, persuade, and refer. This training is facilitated by QPR Institute to empower attendees with the knowledge of how to reduce suicidal behaviors using innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention strategies.

QPR Gatekeeper

A gatekeeper is someone in a position to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide.

As a Certified QPR Gatekeeper

• Recognize the warning signs of
• Increase awareness of stigma and understand suicide as a public health
• Know how to offer
• Know how to access local and national referral
• Know how to get help and save a life

QPR gatekeepers can be anyone, including:

Parents, teachers, ministers, youth, doctors, first responders, mental health professionals, and you, can all become a QPR gatekeeper.
